A 1,500-year-old coffin, excavated from grassland of Xilin Gol league
Archeologists on March 8 opened a 1,500-year-old coffin at the Xilin Gol League museum in Xilin Hot, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region that was recently excavated from grassland of Xilin Gol League.
The coffin is considered well-preserved, and archeologists think it could date back to Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534).
Not much is known about the tomb so far, including identity of the tomb’s owner.
Still not as marvelous a discovery as that 3,600-year-old-cheese that was recently unearthed in the tombs of ancient Chinese mummies.
